How to Use an Ayurvedic Face Cleanser (Ubtan)

In this video, I am going to be showing you how to use the Five Prana Ayurvedic Herbal Face Cleanser. Step 1 in the Ayurvedic Skincare Routine is using an Herbal Face Cleanser. The skin is cleansed with grains, clays, herbs and flowers. These powders are called ubtans and they are used instead of soap on the skin. To use an Ayurvedic Herbal Face Cleanser, you will mix about a ½ tsp of the herbal powder in your hand along with a few drops of water. Add enough water to make a spreadable paste, not too thick and not too watery. You can always add more powder to thicken it up if it ends up too watery or add more water to make it more spreadable. You then apply the paste to your face. Begin at the center of the face and work outwards. Gently rub the face with the powder to create an exfoliating action. Then rinse the face until all the powder has been removed.

The Five Prana Herbal Face Cleansers are made using the highest quality herbal powders and clays. They are also made with organic ingredients whenever possible. Our herbal cleansers are permeated with the properties of plants, roots, and herbs and are chosen for you based on the 6000 year old knowledge and wisdom of Ayurveda. Now press play on the video and follow along as you are led through the Ayurvedic skincare technique of using an Ayurvedic Face Cleanser (Ubtan).
