Hello Everyone! My name is Marissa Mele and I am an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and owner of Five Prana Ayurveda. I have been practicing Ayurveda for over 6 years and I’ve been practicing yoga for over 25 years. I am so fortunate to have been introduced to these sister sciences and I’ve personally experienced transformative changes in my body, mind and spirit through incorporating Ayurvedic principles into my life. I have also witnessed these same transformations in my clients. I believe in the efficacy of Ayurveda and I am very excited to share this ancient healing modality with you.

In our virtual Ayurveda & Yoga for Anxiety workshop, we will explore Ayurvedic practices to help with feelings of stress and anxiety. This workshop begins with a breakdown of the Ayurvedic practices used to help with the management of anxiety like abhyanga or oil massage, essential oils, herbal teas and more. I will then lead you through different yogic practices like pranayama or breathing techniques to help to calm the body, mind and nervous system. I will also lead you through mudra and asana practices or physical postures. It will be good to have a yoga mat for that portion of the practice. Lastly, we will practice marma meditation to progressively relax the body, mind and psyche. At the end of the workshop, you will have learned the techniques used in Ayurveda to manage anxiety and anxious emotions.  Let’s dive right in.

This 90 minute video workshop will give you the tools and techniques used in Ayurveda to help combat anxious feelings and increase calm.
