OM Chanting Meditation Video

Pranava Upasana Meditation (OM Chanting Meditation)

In this Ayurveda meditation video, you will be led through a 10 minute OM Chanting Meditation practice. This is not only a meditation practice but also a mantra practice. Patanjali in his yoga sutras wrote, “through absorption and concentration, the processes of meditation, we may go beyond sensory perceptions.” When we practice OM Chanting Meditation we utilize sound, breath and awareness by deeply inhaling and upon exhaling, reciting the sacred mantra OM. The mantra OM is the most divine of all words and is the most important mantra. It supplies energy to all things and all actions. Therefore it is the beginning and the end. Practicing a mantra meditation like Pranava Upasana Meditation, can be very transformative and can help to propel us forward in our meditation practice. Mantras are the way to prepare the mind for meditation. They focus the mind on the words and sounds of the mantra rather than your fleeting thoughts. Some people like to use mala beads or rosary beads to practice mantra meditation. Mala beads have 108 beads on them. This can help you to set a specific number of recitations during your meditation. And with time and practice, additional rounds of 108 recitations can be added. Now press play on the video and follow along as you are led through the Ayurvedic meditation technique of OM Chanting Meditation.
