Apan Mudra is the energy mudra. To practice this mudra, connect the middle finger, ring finger and thumb together. Then extend the index and pinky fingers. Do this with each hand, the right and the left.

My teacher and mentor Dr. Lina Thakar begins class with a mantra to Ganesha who is the God of new beginnings and the removal of obstacles. I thought I'd share with everyone who is also exploring new paths this year.
