Turmeric Cilantro Rice
Ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1/4 cp cilantro leaves + more to sprinkle after it’s cooked
1 tsp oil or ghee (optional)
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
1. Heat oil or ghee (if using) over medium heat and add cumin seeds and toast until golden. You can also just toast the seeds in a dry pan.
2. Add rice, water, cilantro, turmeric, and salt and bring to boil.
3. Then cover, lower heat to simmer or lowest heat setting and cook for approximately 18-20 minutes.
4. Fluff with a fork and sprinkle cilantro on top.
